All Souls Anglican Church Leichhardt

About Us

What We’re About:

What We’re About

At All Souls we’re on about Jesus’ kingdom and living differently as members of it. That means discipling one another in what it looks like to be citizens of His kingdom and witnessing to our neighbours why it’s so good to be a part of it. This is the beginning of mission. It’s never less than proclaiming the gospel, but it is very much more. In short, we want to grow in our love of God, love of our neighbours and love for His creation!

Discipling one another...

Discipleship is to live for Jesus. To treasure him above all things...

  • It’s something done in relationship, in a community of believers, as part of the restoration of relationships within the created order and as a collaboration to fulfill God’s purposes in our neighbourhood, in our world and in each other.
  • It’s to worship God: to love God with all our heart, soul and strength, through praise and adoration, through obedience to His Word and through serving Him with our whole lives. It involves all we have, including our money. And it means to be released from all false worship and idolatry.
  • It’s about reproducing His character in us so that His passion to reach the whole world is fulfilled through us.

...toward Mission...

...and to lead others toward the same. And that's Mission.

  • It’s about being sent. He sends us across the street, across the city, the nation or the world to engage our neighbour; to make a friend, to be a friend and be used by God to bring that friend to their place in God’s kingdom.
  • It’s to respond to God’s love in our hearts, compelling us to preach the gospel, proclaiming Jesus death and resurrection, and the free gift of eternal life, to extend his kingdom.
  • It’s to be equipped with a knowledge of God, His word and the gifts of the Holy Spirit so that we can do justice, love mercy and glorify God.

This is what we were made for, so this is where we find joy.

...and keeping it Simple.

Toward the end of Discipleship & Mission we ask those who join us to be a part of…

  • One Church (10am)
  • One Life Group (for real community around God's word and often times food)
  • One SIM team (and there's many to choose from)
  • One Solo (alone with God in prayer and bible reading, each and every day)
  • One Tenth (of our income to invest in God's Kingdom)

We want to keep it simple to allow grace filled relationships to flourish, and witness to happen in the natural rhythm of life.

That’s what membership at All Souls looks like.

SIM Teams

God has gifted us in ways we can’t predict. SIM Teams are our way of capturing that gift and magnifying it to the glory of God.
