Premier at the Festa

NSW Premier Morris Iemma was one of over 800 people who stopped for a coffee and a canolli at our cafe during the Norton St Festa on Sunday 2 Apr.

While we had hoped to do some more creative evangelism we were happy to have a presence among the 130,000 people who poured down Norton St.  Part of the proceeds, around $1,200, will be used to purchase a loom to help women in India generate income and work their way out of poverty.

Fair Trade Fair - Make Poverty History
On Sunday Feb 5 we launched an important new ministry to help Make Poverty History.  All Souls now run a small market  selling fair trade products in our cafe on Saturday mornings (10am to 1pm starting in March).  Fresh coffee and cake are available so you can enjoy our peaceful surrounds and friendly people.

New Years Day Breakfast
We began the year together over breakfast at 10am. This was followed by a short service beginning around 11am.

Christmas services
Our newest service, the Kids' Christmas Service was preceded by a free sausage sizzle.  Nearly 100 people enjoyed this kid-friendly start to celebrating the birth of the saviour.

Cafe Opening
On August 7, after 18 months of construction, Bishop Rob Forsyth opened our contemporary ministry facility - or 'Cafe'. This building fronts on to Norton St, home of over 60 cafes and restaurants.  The design is striking and contemporary, with a commercial kitchen, seating for 60, a large outdoor area and playground. It is used after our services and for many of the events described on this site.

All Souls Weekend Away 2005
Held from 22-24 July at Telford on Port Hacking this was a wonderful weekend of fellowship and learning.  Our guest speaker with Rev Dr Gordon Preece who spoke on the topic of work.  For many the highlight, as always, was our time cooking and eating our Saturday night feast.
